Hanoi [Vietnam], March 22: Artist Phuong Binh was once a familiar face on comedy stages, and later actively participated in film and sitcom projects. Recently, he attracted attention for his appearance in the horror film " The Corpse Possessed 2 ," starring alongside Dao Anh Tuan, Van Dung, Kha Nhu, Quang Tuan , Ngoc Huong, etc. Currently, the film has surpassed 100 billion VND and is leading the Vietnamese box office.
Sharing with us, artist Phuong Binh humorously admitted that he is "one of the oldest actors" in The Corpse Possession 2. However, he affirmed that he cannot be complacent just because he thinks he has experience and can do whatever he wants. The 60-year-old artist added: "My view is that we should watch the young actors perform, because there will be things for the older generation to learn."
As a senior figure in the profession, Phuong Binh is always ready to support younger colleagues during their collaborations. For newcomers lacking experience, he offers advice and suggestions to help them improve with each project. The veteran actor gave an example: "My role doesn't connect with Ngoc Huong much, but during the pre-production process, I also shared some insights so she knew how to handle that particular scene."
"Some young actors are very arrogant; once they become famous, they won't listen to what I say. I understand that I only share my feedback with those who want it, and I choose to ignore those who are already satisfied with their abilities, so as not to offend anyone," the male artist added.

The concerns of artist Phuong Binh
According to the 60-year-old actor, his criteria for choosing roles are now quite different from when he was younger. Previously, due to the need to make a living , he accepted roles that weren't suitable, thinking about rent and other expenses. "Back then, I often had to 'close my eyes and take the plunge' into acting. Now that I'm older, life isn't as rich, but it's not as difficult as before, so I choose roles that suit me rather than accepting them indiscriminately," Phương Bình confided.
Not long ago, news about actor Phuong Binh living in a house with installment payments, enduring a life apart from his wife for over 30 years to pursue his passion for his profession, attracted much attention. Sharing about his current life, the actor from "The Corpse Possessed 2" confided: "My wife is still in Tra Vinh, and I'm in Ho Chi Minh City. However, we see each other more often than before. Because our grandchild lives with me, my wife misses him and comes to visit. Moreover, my wife has retired, so she has more control over her time."
Artist Phuong Binh also has his own concerns when pursuing art. He hopes that before he retires, he can open a theater to reunite with "old acquaintances." Because he believes that the theater is also a "cradle" and a place that helps him become more known to the audience.
"Later, I adapted to the environment, participating in television dramas, sitcoms. Many colleagues, when they stopped doing comedy, switched to other professions to make a living, finding it difficult to stay in the profession. I still hope to open a comedy stage to bring the comedians together so they can perform and meet the audience. Because laughing and crying with the audience is the happiness of those in this profession," Phuong Binh shared.
