Washington [US], June 7: According to The Hollywood Reporter, British actor Bill Nighy will join the cast of 'Caine', the spin-off film based on the John Wick franchise.
According to an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter , Lionsgate is quietly developing a spin-off project titled Caine , centering on the infamous blind assassin who caused a sensation in John Wick : Chapter 4. Notably, this project not only marks the return of martial arts superstar Donnie Yen as director and lead actor, but also successfully recruited veteran British actor Bill Nighy.
Currently, the film is being shot in two completely contrasting locations: Budapest (Hungary) and Hong Kong (China). The fact that Bill Nighy, a veteran star familiar to Vietnamese audiences through blockbusters like Love Actually, About Time , and the Underworld monster series , has agreed to participate guarantees the film's quality. This summer, the British actor will also star in Ride or Die alongside Octavia Spencer before venturing into the brutal underworld of Caine .
Besides Bill Nighy, the supporting cast has also been refreshed with young, talented faces. According to international film websites, Mason Thames (the boy who made a strong impression in the horror film The Black Phone ) and Dacre Montgomery (the bad boy Billy from Stranger Things ) have officially confirmed their participation. Notably, singer and actress Rina Sawayama will also return as Akira.
