Kuwait, March 26: Kuwait's Foreign Ministry has condemned an Iranian drone attack that targeted fuel tanks at its international airport.
The attack is a "serious violation of international humanitarian law, as the airport is considered a civilian facility", it said in a statement shared on social media.
Aziz Rahim al-Deihani, acting deputy minister of foreign affairs, "renewed the State of Kuwait's condemnation and strong denunciation of this aggression, emphasizing that it represents a flagrant violation" of the country's sovereignty, "in clear contravention of international law and the United Nations Charter", read the statement.
The attack also marks a "dangerous escalation . that undermines regional and international peace and security", it said.
Kuwait's Foreign Ministry said that it summoned Iran's ambassador, Mohamad Toutonji, for the third time since the onset of Iranian attacks on Feb. 28, handing him a formal protest note over the continued strikes.
Jordan intercepts 5 Iranian projectiles, misses 1 missile
Jordan said Iran targeted it with five missiles and one drone over the past 24 hours.
According to the media directorate at the military's General Command, Jordan's air force intercepted five of projectiles - four missiles and one drone, while air defences were unable to intercept one missile.
Jordan's Public Security Directorate said the attack resulted in material damage only with no casualties reported.
Iraq summons US charge d'affaires after deadly strike
Iraq has summoned the US charge d'affaires in Baghdad after a strike on a military medical clinic killed several soldiers and wounded others.
The attack hit the Habbaniyah military clinic, run by the Defence Ministry, this morning. Baghdad handed the diplomat a formal protest note, condemning what it called a flagrant violation of international law and an affront to the Iraqi-American relationship.
The Iraqi government said it reserves the right to respond "by all available means" under the UN Charter, and will file a documented complaint with the UN Security Council.
UN chief says 'high time' to end 'out of control' war
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that the conflict in the Middle East is "out of control", adding that the world is "staring down the barrel of a wider war".
He said it was "high time" that the US and Israel end the war on Iran, and urged Tehran to stop attacking its neighbours "that are not part of the conflict".
"It is time to stop climbing the escalation ladder, and start climbing the diplomatic ladder, and return to full respect of international law," he said.
Egypt ready to host any meetings related to war on Iran
Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said that Cairo is ready to host any meetings related to the US-Israel war on Iran as long as it serves de-escalation. (Agencies)
