Tehran [Iran], November 7: Iran's police seized 792 kg of illegal drugs in the southern province of Hormuzgan over the past 72 hours, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported on Sunday.
The drugs were confiscated in a series of anti-narcotic operations across the province, Mehr quoted provincial Police Commander GholamrezaJafari as saying.
He said the drugs, which included 747 kg of opium, 40 kg of hashish, 1 kg of heroin, and 4 kg of other substances, were found in four vehicles, all of which had been seized.
Jafari added during the operations, 15 drug traffickers, three distributors of narcotics, and 134 addicts were also arrested.
